'Ochre's elegant, modern lighting and furniture has caused a stir ever since the company first launched its seating cubes in1996 at 100% Design. The tight knit design team includes HMM & JB, who met at art school and (since 2000), SDLF: they combine unusual materials with sophisticated forms. The result includes items such as a wall mounted lamp made from strips of coconut shell and a horsehair and horn chandelier. “We follow our instincts and design things we would like in our homes” says Harriet!!' House and Garden June 2004

'Design outfit Ochre is low key, but its work is incredibly sexy and influential. Flawless British craftsmanship is combined with only the best (often overlooked) materials, such as horn, horsehair, chain mail and coconut shell...creating pared down collections of furniture and accessories that are always ahead of the game' Elle Decoration 2003

'Ochre's new collection captures the current lust for luxury; its horseair and horn chandeliers and velvet daybeds have todays much wanted understated glamour.' The World of Interiors December 2002

Horn chandelier ' This chandelier is very expensive, so I don't expect many of us will actually rush out and buy it, but, seeing as it is quite the most fabulous light I have ever discovered, I thought you should see it. The shade is made out of horsehair, and the smooth dark, dangly pieces are made from horn. It's a great combination – the colours harmonise and the textures clash, which, this season at least is about as chic as it can gets. So there you are, a lttle bit of beauty with your breakfast. Enjoy' The Guardian Weekend September 2002

'a stunning stainless steel chandelier glistening with hand blown crystal teardrops..' Hello Magazine 2002

'Somehow, Ochre has tapped into the zeitgeist for minimilist forms (geometrical cubes, perfectly formed glass spheres, carefully considered rectangular lamp shades) and merged this uniformity with gorgeous textures and tactile fabrics..'

'where Ochre has led, other, lesser design companies have inevitably followed. Its first suede cubes appeared in 1997, something that te style press were quick to pick up on, and, as a result spawned a fleet of copies' The Sunday Times Style January 2002

'A glamourous, generous light that epitomises the style of the dolce vita, its seriously chic and nicely grown up' Elle Decoration

'It is the quality of materials and workmanship that underpin's Ochre's small range of lamps and home accessories and sets the company apart from many of its competitors'…. Telegraph Magazine October 1999

'tomorrows classics are unique designs with a simplicity and elegance that will be appreciated for years to come' (cherub lamp) Homes and Gardens 1999

'Every one needs a little flattery from time to time, and if it is not readily available from lover/mother/grocer, it wpould be nice to turn to your mirror. Ochre's mirrors truly reveal the silver lining behind the bags and bumps – they are backed with regular silver leaf ( explaining the price tag) which produces a younger, better looking and smoother version of yourself. If not strictly truthful, at least Monday friendly.. You just have to avoid anything else that reflects.' The Guardian Weekend 1996

'Another name to look out for – Ochre – which showed some wonderfully idiosyncratic lights as well as fine mirrors ( subtly gilded and bronzed) and plain suede pouffes…' Financial Times 1997

'this striking light (dolce vita) combines modern simplicity with classic elegance and would suit either a contemporary or a traditional home..' Homes & Gardens June 1996

'combine modern simplicity with classical elegance….' Their products..'sit happily alongside old or modern pieces and point up the sleek, stylish, and quietly sophisticated interiors that are the shape of things to come' The Hill

Luna Light ' the elongated square base is very elegant. Being a water gilded square finish, it catches the light beautifully when on' Sally Storey – lighting designer. The Times

Delaunay Cubes ' set to become the next design must have..' Sunday Times Style March 1998
